How to get history in yahoo messenger?

Yahoo Messenger Conversation History is only giving me parts of my past convo's. How do I get my messages?

I am trying to retrieve a past text role play yahoo messenger that I forgot to save, and the conversation history is only providing bits and pieces of the conversation! It's incredibly annoying. I would like to get ALLLLLLLLL off the conversation, i.e. the beginning and the end, not JUST the middle. How do I fix this?

Increasingly, this is becoming more of a problem, at least more people are asking about it than ever. I've answered quite a few of them and had back and forth conversations with 3 or 4 people and we couldn't find a solution, so I'm going to have to call it another Yahoo glitch, something I rarely stoop to. One way of fixing it though is by having the downloaded version of messenger, which has its own archives where messages are stored in full for year and years! (Mine go back almost 6 years) http://messenger.yahoo.com/ ~m~
