How do I get to the messenger menu?

I cant get in to chatroom. No icon & when I do 'Messenger' I dont get 'Join Chatroom' option in drop down menu

  • About 2 weeks ago the chatroom icon & option to enter a chatroom via 'Messenger' drop down menu just went. I've checked every night & it's just not there. Only one night in the past 2 weeks have I had the option to join chatrooms but when I got list of rooms up I got a message on left hand side about not having URL & although I tried to enter chatroom it just wouldn't let me. Although the next day when I logged on I got lots of 'Offline Messages' from people in chatroom I tried but failed to get into!!! When trying to get help tonight I got the following message: Sorry, the page you requested was not found. Please check the URL for proper spelling and capitalization. If you're having trouble locating a destination on Yahoo!, try visiting the Yahoo! home page or look through a list of Yahoo!'s online services. I'm a technophobe & call everything a thingy so non technical, layman terms would be much appreciated!! Many, many thanks to anyone who helps.
