Why does my messenger works backwards?

Sign in to Yahoo mail works, but can't open yahoo messenger on yahoo mail. Why?

  • Hi I can sign on and read my yahoo email, but when I try to sign in my yahoo messenger on the mail interface, the sign in failed. I assumed the yahoo mail messenger didn't prompt for password bec it's already integrated with yahoo mail. Anyone to advise what should I do now?
