Why am I not able to connect with the Yahoo Messenger?

Why wont my yahoo messenger connect?

it did work now it wont work

Are you able to get the sign in window to open, then type in your ID and password but when you click "Sign In" nothing happens? If that's the case, do you have a firewall or are you using Windows XP with it's own firewall? If so, open Messenger, close the sign in screen and click "Messenger" at top left of the main Messenger window. Click "Connection Preferences" then choose "Firewall with no proxies". Also make sure your type of connection and your location are correct, click "Apply" then "OK". You should be able to sign in after that.

CHECK WITH YOUR CONNECTION SETTINGS ON YAHOO MESSENGER MENU AND GO TO PREFERENCES AND HIT CONNECTION YOU MIGHT NEED TO REINSTALL THE PROGRAM
