How to receive all of a group's archived messages?

Why can't I receive offline messages? I also have message archived enabled but still can't get them.?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times over the past month or so because I had problems logging on to yahoo but finally I got that resolved but for over a month now I haven't not been able to receive any offline messages. I even have my message archive enabled and still no offline messages and I know I have had lots of offline messages not show up because my friend has told me he's sent me many offlines messages, yet I don't have any. I can message back and forth fine if I'm on online and he can receive offline messages from me but i can't receive offline messages from him. Please help! My only contact on my list is my best friend and he's overseas and yet I can't even get his offline messages. Please help me. Thanking you in advance.

Your computer might not have the "correct things" in order to receive offline messages. Try meeting these requirements.
