Why is my stupid yahoo account screwing up?

Yahoo messanger shows me as online when Messenger isn't on? Wierd? Hacked account maybe?

• When I'm browsing my fantasy sports pools the little smiley icon is yellow indicating that I'm online with Yahoo Messenger. I do have Yahoo messanger but it's never on. As well, this just started recently within the last week or so. Normally, it was just the default "not logged on" smiley face. I've tried turning off my computer and logging into the same fantasy pool from a friends house through his account. He's in the pool too. Even though my computer is off it still shows me as logged on. There have been no problems with the account in terms of misuse. ie, nobody has screwed with setting, or my teams, etc. Anyone having the same problem? Is it just an icon screwing up? weird huh?! Thanks in advance As well, might someone know the program name if you go to Windows Task Manager. Maybe it's running the back ground or something.

  Here's a possibility. I know this is true for Yahoo! Games, it may very well be true for other services too. If you log into Yahoo! Games and go into a game room, Messenger will show you online if you aren't also logged into Messenger. Log in to Messenger and set your status to invisible, that will solve the problem
