Why can't I stay logged on to my yahoo?

Stay logged on in both yahoo messenger and my yahoo account while in IE?

  • every time i logged in to instant messenger, then pull up my yahoo page in internet explorer i get kicked off IM automaically. I can i stay logged on to both at the same time?

    You are disconnecting from Yahoo Messenger because you are going to your mailbox and you are signing into Mail Chat automatically. Besides your username, you should see an option, "Available". Click on it and change your status to "Offline" by clicking on "Sign out of Chat". You will then be able to log back into IM and stay logged in. You cannot be signed into both IM and Mail Chat at the same time.

Unfortunately No...your not able to be logged into Mail & Chat at the same time. If you are using the New Yahoo! Mail, remember it has the built-in messenger when you sign into e-mail. Yahoo will detect that you have signed into your Yahoo! Mail. You are then disconnected if you sign into Yahoo! Messenger. Besides your username, you should see an option, "Available". Click on it and change your status to "Sign out of Chat". You will then be able to log back into IM and stay logged in. One cannot be signed into both IM and Mail Chat at the same time........ Merely disable/cancel the Chat in your e-mail account. ♦Note--Yahoo remembers your settings until You have them Changed.
