Can people see your name on yahoo?

How do I get my real name off of my Yahoo Messenger? When other people add me on they can see it.?

  • Ive taken my name off of every possible mention of my full name. I perfer to be someone anon!

  • Answer:

    Click on messenger> My contact details> Delete your real name> save and close.

The name you see doesn't get sent to the people you talk to. You're the only one who sees it. They see whatever name they entered for you in their address book. That said, you can change your display name by clicking "My Contact Details" in the Messenger menu.

Please follow this path. click on messenger> my contact details> make changes in ur nickname box> keep other boxes empty> save and close. It will solve ur problem. If u r having yahoo 360 also. Then u will hv to do the following also. Follow this path. Open ur messenger window> contacts> my profile> click on ur ID> edit>it will take u to ur 360 page> click settings> it will take u to basic info> make changes in Name and Nick Name as u need> make changes in Yahoo Identity display> save.
