Silica gel, or silica aerogel, is a drying agent that absorbs the waxy coating of insects, leading to dehydration and suffocation. This kind of insecticide is light, white and fluffy. Boric Acid, also called boracic acid, is is a wax-absorber as well as a stomach poison. When kept dry and placed in the proper places in adequate concentration, boric acid is useful in the control of insects. Insecticide Formulations Insecticides are available in many different forms.
