How do I change my yahoo ID to a different name?

My name is showing instead of my yahoo ID when chatting with ppl i have added, how do i change that?

• I dont know why, but my yahoo id is showing the booper103 on my screan. But after i add someone they always seem to know my name and it isnt showing on my screan.. i ask them how they know my name and they say it shows as my yahoo ID. how do i change that? i dont even see my name being shown anywhere. please help me.

  Go to your yahoo messenger friends list. Click on messenger, then click on "my contact details", underneath the box in which you could enter your first, last and middle name is a box that says nickname. Enter your nick, save it and you're done. If users already added you to their messenger list and/or address book, your old name setting will continue to get displayed for them. If you want those users to see your new name also, ask them to remove you from their messenger list and/or address book and add you back with your new info.
