How much space allow for yahoo mail?

Yahoo Messenger doesn't allow log in until AFTER I log in to Yahoo Mail?

• This is a strange one. I merged my Yahoo account (opened probably around 1997 or 1998) with my SBC DSL in 2004. A few months ago I canceled AT&T DSL to move to Comcast. That, obviously, removed my Yahoo premium services however I was still able to use my account as always. Since that day though I've not been able to sign on to Yahoo Messenger unless I've recently (within a few minutes) signed on to Yahoo Mail. This occurs on Yahoo's own Mac client, Adium and Beejive IM on both a Blackberry and an iPhone. The clients are never trying to sign on at the same time so they're not fighting with each other. Once I get a connection on any one of them it remains solid until I disconnect. Is there any reason this would be happening? Any possible fixes?

  It might be this, Did you make a desk top short cut and when you click on it, the problem happens? If so It was done while logged on mail. Go to home page and open messenger from there,do not open mail. Log on messenger then make a new short cut. I had that same probem.
