Why does Yahoo Messenger sign me out of Yahoo mail chat?

I can't sign in my yahoo messenger after i changed my yahoo id & password of yahoo mail, would you help me?

• i have changed my ID & password of yahoo mail, since then i can not sign in my yahoo messenger to chat or send instant message anymore. i have been trying to use both of my new & old ID & password but nothing works, please help.

  You may have too many programs running in the background draining your system's resources which is causing the problem.
