My computer crashed. How do I get Yahoo messenger back?

I want to have yahoo messenger on two separate home pages with both up at the same time. How do I do that?

  • I have two separate Yahoo home pages. I have Yahoo Messenger on one but can't get it on the other. How do I get it on the other page? ( I had an account set up on another computer that crashed) I want to put that account on this computer and run both at the same time without opening a new acct. if possible.

    if you want to use two accounts online at the same time, either you will log in one on the Instant Messenger of Yahoo and the other one will be on the WebMessenger or Chat Mail. *or else, download a third party program to get online using multiple accounts.

The Yahoo Messenger that you seen on your Yahoo home page, is actually usually the regular Yahoo Messenger that you have downloaded and installed. When you send an instant Message from your home page it is actually using the full version of Yahoo Messenger. For this reason you can only use one at a time because you cannot open more than one Yahoo Messenger at a time. But you use one Yahoo account in Yahoo Messenger and a 2nd account in Yahoo Messenger for the Web or the chat in Yahoo Mail. On Yahoo Messenger to switch between accounts if you want, you would need to click Messenger menu at the top and choose Sign Out. Then replace the name and password. You can change how you are signed into the Yahoo Home page by clicking Sign out link at the top of the page and then signing in with your other account. You can sign into 2 Yahoo Home pages at the same time if you use one Yahoo ID in one browser such as Firefox and the other Yahoo ID Internet Explorer. Use one for use with Yahoo Messenger itself and the other one, why not use the chat in Yahoo Mail (the all-new mail chat has more features than chat in mail classic, or you can use Yahoo Messenger for the Web which has even more).
