Well i recently updated messengers and lost my old account any way to get it back?

I totally agree - your Yahoo account and what version of YM you happen to have are two completely independent issues. In fact anyone with a Yahoo account (i.e. valid Yahoo ID and Password) can use YM without having ANY version of it on their PC, via http://messenger.yahoo.com/webmsgr/fmsgr.php I guess perhaps you HAVE lost any access to your account, but that is NOT because of any version of YM you may have had (hmmm, except perhaps some "unauthorised" version, or a third-party program for Yahoo, that COULD include a procedure for sending your details to some unauthorised party!?). I'd guess it's because (A) you've been hacked or phished, and someone has "stolen" your Id (once they get your password, it's easy for them to change it, and "your" account simply aint "yours" any more). (B) you've simply forgotten the password you set (if so, have you tried their password recovery process ?) (C) Yahoo has closed your account, perhaps for 90-days inactivity, or for some violation of their terms.
