How do I sign into my mobile device under an alias and not my main ID?

When I sign into my mobile device I sign in under my alias not my main ID but it keeps showing up as my main ID. All my friends only know my alias so it doesn't show I am on my mobile device to them. What am I doing wrong?? Even this question is showing under my main ID despite being signed in as my alias!!
