Why am I unable to log in to Yahoo Messenger 8.0?

Since updating to new yahoo I can not log onto Yahoo Messenger my password is the same and haven't made change

  • CANNOT LOG ON TO YAHOO MESSENGER AFTER DOWNLOADING NEW YAHOO MY PASSWORD HAS NOT CHANGED BUT THE SYSTEM WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO LOG ON PLEASE HELP I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS AND PROMPTS BUT YAHOO MESSENGER WILL NOT SIGN ME IN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO TO CORRECT THIS. I HAVE TRIED FOR TWO DAYS AND STILL CANNOT LOG ON I EVEN RESTARTED MY COMPUTER BUT CANNOT LON ON TO YAHOO MESSENGER

    On the new yahoo messenger, if you have multiple accounts with the same password you have to correctly enter in the password each time. It wont recognize it for different accounts the way it used to. Just try re-entering your password to see if that helps. If not Id suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

maybe someone hacked your yahoo and changed your password difenition of hack: someone has a hacking systom which allows them to see your password.

maybe your account is still recognized to the old version of yahoo. or either, there was a problem when you updated the messenger. if you cannot able to log in, as you said two days had passed already, then that's enough time of waiting since the limit time is over 24hours for activation. how about going back to the old version of messenger you used? or else, try to uninstall this messenger. delete everything in the PC about Ymessenger and also the Java (don't forget that). then scan your PC after uninstalling. after that, restart your PC. wait for awhile then try to download again the messenger. after downloading, restart again your PC then log in to messenger. see this time ifyou can log. if not, i could not do anymore to help you out.
