How do i deactivate my yahoo messenger account...... totally?

    Click on https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user. Sign into the page with the Yahoo! ID you wish to delete. Once deleted the Yahoo! ID will not be available for approximately 90 days and anything associated with the Yahoo! ID will be deleted as well.

Copy and paste this address in your web broser. Follow the directions provided. The info there says it will take approximately 90 days for your account to be deleted. http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/mesg/index.html.
