How to deactivate a yahoo messenger account?

    If you mean you don't want Messenger to load automatically, you can change your settings as follows: Click on "Messenger" in the top left hand corner of the Messenger Toolbar. Click on "Preferences". Click on "General". UNTICK the box "Automatically start Yahoo Messenger". Click on "Apply" at the bottom followed by "OK". If you mean you want to delete Yahoo Messenger: Click on Start at the bottom left hand side of your screen. Click on "Control Panel". Click on "Programs and Features". Find the Program you want to delete. Right click on it. There are then three options "Uninstall", "Change", or "Repair". Click on "Uninstall". The Program will then be deleted.
