We can't get into my yahoo. is there a problem?

Cant get my yahoo messenger to work. Says that Yahoo messenger has encounterd a problem and needs to close?

    First, update your anti-virus software and do a full scan to see if they are any viruses on your computer that could be using up your memory and causing Yahoo! Messenger to not function properly. This could also happen if you have a lot of other programs running on your computer. Be sure to close any that you don't need.
