CAN I GET MY ACCOUNT BACK?

Someone has taken over my Yahoo account. How can I get my account back?

• 2 days ago I was unable to login to my Yahoo account. All of my account information has been changed. Under a different account I saw this person logged on under my screenname. I followed them into Yahoo Pool. They were speaking spanish and booted me when I tried to question about the account. This is absolutely no one that I know that would know my personal information. So, how can I get my account back?

  I, too, had a similar issue. The first step I tried to do was to go through the online 'forgot password' password retrieval process located at http://edit.yahoo.com/config/eval_forgot_pw?. However, my account information had been changed so this did not work. I then went to the help pages, specifically: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/edit/id_password/edit-20.html, clicked on the 'Customer Care' button, filled out the form, and worked directly with a customer support agent. They verified all of my registration information from when I signed up years ago and I was back using my account within 24 hours.
