How long does it take for yahoo to cancel a yahoo messenger account?

i deleted one of my messenger accounts, but i can still log in to some sites with it. thanks
Answer:

if you cancel your Yahoo account, you cannot avail ONLY the services of Yahoo. and if that account/mail address is being used in SOME other sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tagged.com, Friendster and the like, it is still can be used BUT the problem is, if you will face a password problem on those sites, you won't be able to recover it because those sites will contact YOU on the Yahoo site itself!!! in short, the password request will be sent to your mailbox of Yahoo and not directly from those sites where you are using the mail address. and since your Yahoo account had been deleted, then you won't be able to access the account anymore on those sites. hope you got what i mean.
