Why is my account logging into My Yahoo! and not just Yahoo! Mail?

Hi, I am unable to login into yahoo messanger while i am successfully logging into yahoo mail account?

this is not an answer you may be looking for.I have 1 messenger and mail adress on asia yahoo and one mail and messenger adress on australia yahoo and neither messenger will sign in but the mail adress signs in no problems.messenger and mail individualy have same user and password.when messenger does sign in it is usualy fine.you will have the same problem as me with yahoo help.no result,because i don't think they know either.

It's because upon logging into Yahoo Messenger, Yahoo has to search for certain messaging servers to complete a successful log-in. Yahoo Mail does not. If the servers for Yahoo Messenger are busy, you'll be unsuccessful in logging in or it'll take forever. It also depends the amount of internet traffic logging in and out to Yahoo Messenger as well. Just another Yahoo glitch that does'nt ever seem to get fixed. Try going to the Yahoo Messenger Help page for more information.

I'm having the exact same problem. I cannot log into Yahoo Messenger but I'm able to log into my mail account and My Yahoo! page. Can we email them and find out what's going on?
