How Does One Add Their Age To Their Yahoo Account/Profile (So As To Join Adult Groups)?

I moderate six yahoo groups which focus on photography. When I started these groups, I wanted the option of people posting material which may be seen by some as provocative (but years later, no one has posted this kind of material). So I created the groups as "adult" groups. I am having problems with people wanting to join the groups and not having their age show up when I try to approve them. So as a test, I created a new yahoo account and tried to join my OWN groups. For the life of me, I can't figure out how to change my account so that my age shows up. As it is currently, I cannot approve MYSELF to join my own groups! I am 45 years old and my birth date was entered when I created this new account. Thanks for your help! :-)

when you create an account, yes you do enter the date of birth, however it's up to the person to add that age to their profile- http://profiles.yahoo.com click edit profile middle page and enter what those groups are asking for- click save. then click Settings, very small text upper right- then click Permissions, right.
