Can I backup my My Yahoo page?

How can I establish different passwords for my Yahoo eMail and Yahoo Group page?

  • I have a Yahoo Group page with an 'attached' Yahoo eMail account. I am the Group Owner/Moderator, but I have recently gotten others to volunteer their time to help maintain the Group page. I have set them all up as Moderators - not Owners - so their privileges are different than mine, e.g., they cannot 'Delete' the Group. They need to be able to read our Yahoo eMail account in order to provide their services. My problem is that both the Group page and the eMail address are under the same Yahoo account. So, the volunteer moderators have to use the same eMail login and password as I do as the Group owner, in order to read the Group eMail. I need to be able to have 1 login and password for the Group page - and - a DIFFERENT login and password for the eMail that is associated with the Group page. Is this possible? I am thinking no, since both the Group page and eMail account are tied to the same Yahoo Account. Does anyone know how I can change it?

As far as I am aware, there is no way to have separate emails to log into email vs groups. If you want yourself and your moderators to get the same emails, you can just use [email protected] where xxxxx is the name of your group. An email sent to that address will go to the emails you and your moderators use personally. If you want them to be able to respond to emails and see the conversations going back and forth, just require that all moderators CC the owner email address so that everyone can keep track of the emails going back and forth. Hope that helps.

the only way I see that happening is you will have to have accounts for each of them Because on yahoo you only get one account per person But you can have as many as 10 e mails.

actually, those moderators should be logging into their own ID's and those pass words, not yours, to moderate the group. I'm not sure how you did this, are they logging into your ID?? if they are, you want to change your pass word pronto and set these people up properly- How do I make someone a moderator of my group? http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/ownmod/inviting/inviting-18.html From the list on the left, click Members and locate the member on the Members page.
