How to get e-mail address with yahoo?

How do I get my alternate yahoo email address to show up when I post a message in a yahoo group?

  • I do not want my primary email address to show up when I post a message to a yahoo group. When I try to change it in edit membership, the alternate email is grayed. If I could not show my email address at all, that would be great too. Thank you in advance.

    maybe that other address hasn't been confirmed. there's been glitches for a long time adding a new address, but I'd try that and see if it works- go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address. then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes keep in mind, Yahoo groups are list servs, more or less and run by e-mail subscribing members. unless the group allows you to hide your address (which means you can only post from the group) your e-mail addy while on the group will only appear in full to you; the other members only see it up to the @ but full if they're on individual mail
