How do I synch Outlook with Yahoo calendar?

Getting Appointments from Outlook to Yahoo Groups Calendar?

  • Is there a way to "invite" the Yahoo Groups calendar to appointments I put in my Outlook calendar, so I don't have to enter the info in two locations? Some of my group members use Outlook, and would like to be able to show items they're putting in their own Outlook calendar in our Yahoo Group calendar for the group to be able to see.

    On the Yahoo Group calendar check to see if there is a section for importing dates from one calendar to the Yahoo Group calendar. If yes, then you should be able to transfer the dates from Outlook to the Yahoo Groups calendar. If that doesn't work I would recommend getting in touch with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative to see if they can help you to figure out what could be causing the problem.

I haven't heard of any way to really do that other than just adding them in manually. If there is a way to transfer them, I don't know what it is. You can try exporting your calendar the way you do address book entries, if it will let you do that, and then import it that way. It always works when I transfer contacts from my address book.

The Groups calendar is very much outdated, and Yahoo does have long-term plans to improve it. You cannot transfer dates from Outlook to Groups. There are many other limitations as well. Don't be frustrated. You're not alone with this problem!
