How do I stop getting all those emais from yahoo groups?

How can I stop getting a message from Yahoo Groups to join a webcams thing?

  • Almost every day I get the same message saying "Please confirm your request to join hottiewebcams669677" I don't want to join any webcams stuff!! How do I make it stop!! It's annoying!!

To prevent this from happening with Yahoo groups, you must change your preferences in your Yahoo account. This is how to do that: Go to your "My Groups" page -here is the link: http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups Near the upper right side, click on "My Email Preferences". To the far right of the email address used for groups, click "Edit". Under "Group Invitations", click on the checkmarks to REMOVE them from the squares to the left of "Allow group moderators to directly add me to their groups" and "Allow group moderators to invite me to their groups". Click "Save Changes". After doing the above, if you continue to get invites you will know they are not legitimate Yahoo group invites - just delete them because they would be spam. Lately a lot of spammers have been sending emails as if they are an invite from a Yahoo group - the links they give will take you to their websites, not Yahoo. Again, after you have changed your preferences, just delete all invites you might receive because they are not coming from legitimate Yahoo groups.
