How do I delete the actual Yahoo group as moderator?

I am a moderator for a Yahoo group. How can I delete members from the group who are no longer active?

  • Our Yahoo group is for members who are docents for our organization. Our group emails are only for those who participate in our docent program. Some members are no longer interested in docenting and can check non-docenting news through our website, but they need to be deleted from our Yahoo group. As a moderator, how can I do this.?

  • Answer:

click on the ~edit button under the members name amend their detail click on ~the changes button before you leave the page

****you can go to the members list, click the moderators tab- click edit membership below each moderator ID and scroll to the bottom to see what each persons privileges are. there are 9 privileges an owner can give moderators, and you'll see which each has. you obviously don't have the remove member privilege, but you'll see if you have others like approving posts. generally, the owner sets these moderator settings. is there a owner in that group?**** moderators are given privileges, and removing members is one of them. if you go to the members list- look to the right and do not see the little boxes to check, then you're not allowed to remove members.
