How do I find a Yahoo member by their user name?

I received a threat from a group member with a fake name and yahoo account. How can I find out his real name?

• I own a yahoo group. One of the members thought he was moderated and sent me a threatening e-mail. How can I find out who he is? Is there anyway I can search his fake name or Yahoo e-mail to find out who he really is? Can I report or forward this threat to Yahoo for assistance? Thank you in advance for your help :)

  Since Yahoo account information is private, there's no way for you to find out his real name. You can report this threat to Yahoo by using the Yahoo Abuse Support form. Here is the link to that form: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/abuse.html Hopefully you have placed this member on moderation. I would leave the person as a moderated member until the Yahoo Abuse Support Team has had a chance to investigate. By doing that, if more unacceptable messages are sent to you, you could use them to further substantiate your abuse report. If it was a threat on your life, family or property, it should also be reported to your local Police Department. Law enforcement agencies can find out who and where the person is.
