How do I view attachments that come with e-mails I receive?

Email attachments from Yahoo Groups?

• Recently (after 4/9/2009), when I receive email messages from any Yahoo group that has an attachment, I cannot download/save that attachment: Details: I receive individual emails from my groups I use Outlook Express I view email messages in PLAIN TEXT (because viewing in HTML is a BIG security risk that I am NOT willing to take). Emails from Yahoo Groups with attachments show [1 Attachment] in the subject line, but no attachment is available. I can receive attachments from other sources. If I do set my email client to read emails in HTML, then I can see the attachment and click on it to download the file. I can go to the web interface for my group and download the attachment from there. Both of these solutions just add extra time to getting an attachment that until 10 days ago, I could just right click in my email client and save to disk. Why has this changed and is there any way to get it back to the way it was? (I have tried full featured and traditional to no avail).

  Yahoo is rolling out a new system where attachments are stored in the Group, but not sent out via email (other than thumbnails). You can get these attachments by accessing the Group in your web browser. Group members cannot change how this works. This setting can only be changed for the entire Group by the owner or moderator(s) of the Group. It can be changed back to the previous setting (attachments sent out via email but not stored in message archive). There is no option to allow both sending and storing of attachments. If you are the owner or a moderator and want to change back to the previous setting for your group, click on "Management" on the left side of any of the Group's web pages. Under "Group Settings", click on "Messages". Next to "Posting and Archives", click "(Edit)". Under "Attachments", select "Include in emails (exclude from site)".
