How can I change the location of my group?

Why are some members age and location show up in the members list and others don't?

  • I am owner/moderator of an adult yahoo group and when viewing the members list I noticed that members age and location are not always shown. I have two yahoo ids and I know that when I started the group I entered my age and location on both memberships; and only one shows up in the members list. I also have other members who are having the same problem. How can a member change that so their age and location shows up under their yahoo id in the members list on the group. I'd hate to have our group deleted because of this info not showing up. I have also noticed that when you click to view their profile you can see that info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    it was some glitch when Yahoo released the beta profiles- you have to be sure your settings in permissions are correct and if it is, try this YA- http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Avq37t53dT1P9aPqrT5xYa3ty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090216070522AAtokRd&show=7#profile-info-AtDwsmjqaa it's the info included on the profiles, and has nothing to do with actually join a yahoo group or it's membership. if the members included age and location on the profile, it'll then show up on the members list

I've found the information that shows up in the member list is from the OLD profiles. When Yahoo switched to these new fangled beta profiles, none of the information carried over. So now when you have a new member who never had a profile before, if they fill out the new profiles, that info isn't listed in the member list. Being a group owner/moderator myself, it sucks because now you actually have to click on their ID to see their profile info.

crazy_mom....that's just it...members that have that info on their profile (including myself) arent having it show up in the members list.
