Why does a PPTX file convert to a ZIP file on download for an uploaded yahoo groups file?
-
I uploaded a .PPTX (Powerpoint 2007) presentation up on yahoogroups, but when my friends download it, the downloader automatically converts it to a .ZIP file. Why is it like this? Any suggestions/workaround on how to fix this?

Answer:
PPTX files are really a collection of files/folders zipped together - so it actually is a zip file. If they rename it from .zip to .pptx extension it should turn into an Powe Point file. However they will need the Power Point 2007 or later to open it. If they don't have office 2007 they can convert it online at http://www.pptx2ppt.com
