How can I remove my e-mail address from Yahoo groups?

Has anyone else seen that Yahoo groups silently refuses to remove members who email asking to be removed?

• Until recently, users could send email to remove themselves from a Yahoo group to an address conveniently appended to group emails. Group management logs under "Email Commands" will have an entry saying "xyz Unsubscribe requested" or some such, followed by "xyz Unsubcribe confirmed" and the users would be removed. Starting in early October, two different groups where I am owner or moderator have "Unsubscribe requested" lines, but no "Unsubscribe confirmed" lines, and indeed Yahoo is not removing these (now upset) people from the groups. Has anyone else seen this? Is this a known bug with Yahoo groups, or is there a known fix (e.g. group setting) to allow users to unsubscribe themselves again? Thanks

  I have right around a dozen Yahoo groups and though I have never seen that one, I have no doubt that what you say is true. When I had similar types of issues I could never get a clear fix and always have had to work around the issue. On one occasion, yahoo just deleted one of my large groups which was nothing more than a directory of restaurants in the US and UK. There was no reason there was no violation other groups were not effective, it was one day gone ... never to be retrieved.
