How do i join a group when there is no place to join?

  • I want to join a specfic group. Help page says click on th e "join this group" in the upper right side. There is no Join this group button

    ***** then what happened was the group recently went to closed/ invite only and the cache had not updated the page yet. the group went closed membership***** a closed/ invite only group does not list in the directory- where are you seeing this group from? were you in the directory? to tell if you are a member of it (which most likely is the case) look to the top left of the group right above the group name XXXXXX Yahoo ID · [email protected] | Group Member - Edit Membership if you are not a member, it will only have the group name and nothing else above it.

It might be a group that membership is invite only. In that case you'd have to email the owner.

Very Interesting. 1) Maybe you are already a member. 2) If you received an "invitation" via eMail, then use the link provided in your eMail to Join the Group. 3) Make sure you Sign in (Log on) to Yahoo! prior to visiting your group. You might also benefit by clearing your browser's cache files. You can obtain detailed instructions from Yahoo! Help Central. Good Luck to you. Hope this helps.
