How to reactivate my Yahoo groups?

I just got an unsolicited email: Please reactivate your Yahoo! Groups email addre.. Is this legit?

  • The message came from <confirm-unbounce-1156431205-156087221-5…

  • Answer:

No it is not legit. The Yahoo! e-mail ID has to have a small key image by the side to represent it comes from a legit source. If you don't see it, it's not legit :) Also please notice, no e-mail company nor Yahoo! will ask for your e-mail or password through your e-mail. Take care :)

You were right to ask and luckily it's legit - follow the instructions so your mail from Yahoo Groups will start arriving again. Good luck.

If you were once a member of the Yahoo! group named in the email, chances are it is legit. You are being asked to be "unbounced". Bouncing members are those members that emails to them are rejected, for some reason or other. The letter is from the group moderator http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/groups/members/members-15.html This link will explain bouncing. You may have to copy and paste to your browser, because it is broken on the page. If you never were a group member, report the email as spam.
