How do I remove a group from my calender?

How can you remove an abusive co-owner from a group and give the original owner his rights back?

  • I have been in a group for a long time. This group was started by a friend of mine who also decided to give his then-girlfriend co-owner status. After an initial series of posts, she stopped participating in the group for a long time. Very recently, she returned to the group and decided to demote the group's founder then block the rest of us from commenting when we demanded that she give the group back. We don't want to lose this group, which we have put alot of work into, but don't know of any recourse to eject this tyrannical co-owner. Can anyone offer help?

  • Answer:

You can try contacting Yahoo Groups Abuse. I'm not sure if they will do anything, but it can't hurt to try. Use this form: http://add.yahoo.com/fast/help/us/groups/cgi_abuse You can also try having the original owner try calling Yahoo at Tel: (408) 349-3300. Now, Yahoo says that they don't support the free areas by phone, but you might get lucky and find someone helpful. The other option is to just start a new group without the ex-girlfriend. Obviously, it's not the best solution, but at least you would have control over the group again.
