In which application CAPTCHA applicable?

I would like to write code for an application which receives a text message and sends group messages.?

• Hello. I'm doing a project. I want to include this feature in my application program. The application program should receive a text message sent from any mobile. The program should process data. It'll have a group list for which a message has to be sent. I want to build this application. I don't know how to proceed. I don't know what are the things involved after a user sends a message, like which protocol is used for transmission, where the data goes, how does it reach server, etc. I really need a clean and clear picture of how to achieve this. Please help. Thanks a ton.

  I am not an expert on this. However, I do know a few things that might be of help. First, moderation...if message posting is moderated on that group...the e-mail being used by this application will need to be granted an exception over standard post so it is not moderated(or someone will need to approve each text). Second, generally in my experience with Yahoo Groups sending an e-mail to the Yahoo!group address posts it to all recipients(per their preferences). So for example the address that the e-mails come from your group when they are a group post... send an e-mail to that and you will see a post. So it basically seems your app needs to receive a text message, add a subject line like "member posted by text" or "message from (phone number or name from a phone number/name list), and then send that message that message by e-mail to your yahoo group. Seems like relatively basic programming. I hope my amateur insight has been useful.
