Is it possible to change yahoo ID?

Is it possible to change the password of a Yahoo Group owner who doesn't have a Yahoo ID?

  • Our Yahoo group owner hasn't been involved with our group for a long time. I've contacted her and she's happy to help transfer ownership to another member, but unfortunately she can't remember the password of the old work email that's associated with the group. Her old company very generously offered to open the account again to take care of this. Is it possible for her to reset her password without a Yahoo ID? Is there a web address she can go to take care of it? Thanks!

  • Answer:

It's easy to solve that problem. Look up the group owner, and you'll see her Yahoo ID. Tell her to log in with her ID. On that screen, there will be a question, "Forgot your password?" Have her click on that link. She will be asked some questions, after which she will be sent a new ID. She will then be able to log in with that ID, and she will regain all of her privileges that she had before.

Other answers

Her company would have to help her with resetting the password on her old email through them. She'll also need to sign up for a Yahoo ID if she doesn't have one. She'll need the Yahoo ID to use the group website to appoint a new moderator of the group.
