How Did I change My Old ID in yahoo.com?

I changed my ID in yahoo groups and need to know how to change it back please.?

  • OK, I own a group in yahoo groups. I had set up a new file to send to pending members. I wanted to see if it would work so I signed out with that ID and signed in with my business ID and tried to join the group to see if the file would send properly. When I did it said my original ID was already joined (how it knew I was the same person I don't know) and should it change to this new ID? Well I panicked and just hit close. And went to sign back in under my regular ID. But now that says I am not a member and asks me to rejoin. So I tried and I am asked to apply for membership (which for others is the way it is supposed to be but I OWN the group.) So I signed back into my business ID and sure enough I am joined as that and listed as owner and such with all the admin powers I need but I do NOT want that ID to be in there, I want my original ID in there. How do I fix it? Please help I am panicking badly.

  • Answer:

Have the new ID make the old ID an owner then delete the new ID from the group. Also don't forget to take out the new ID's name anywhere it is - even if you have to redo a file. Good luck

maybe you some how linked both ID's with one account. I'd go to My Account of both accounts and see what addresses are there. I go back and forth to 2 different ID's all the time and that shouldn't happen at all.

when you change your ID yahoo makes a new ID and password and I think that if you opened your first ID it is going to work.
