Why am I unable to open attachments or links?

Yahoo Groups Attachments as Links?

• Can the link attachments be changed back to actual documents? A lot of members have security issues and can not open the link.

  I'm not a "deep" expert, but my understanding is that Groups administrators have 3 choices for attachments: Store on site (exclude from emails); Include in emails (exclude from site); or Exclude from site and emails Unfortunately, they can't choose "Include in emails (Store on site)", which many of us would prefer. So if your admin thinks you want to be able to browse through past "attachments" on Yahoo's web-site, the tradeoff is that group e-mails will only include a link, and not the actual document, as an attachment. (I've just contacted the Exec of my sailing club, www.torontosailing.com , to suggest that we switch from "Store on site (exclude from emails)" to "Include in emails (exclude from site)". We keep our documents on the members-only area of our own web-site anyway, and some of our Group members aren't even Yahoo members. . .) Norm
