I am still trying to figure out how to add a "my groups" button on my yahoo toolbar. Can anyone help?

Answer:
Click on the arrow next to the pencil icon (toolbar settings) for the drop-down menu. Click on "Add/Edit Buttons". In the "Choose Your Buttons" section, check the box "Groups". If you have a lot of buttons checked, you will want to change the layout (button order) so that your "Groups" button will be visible on the toolbar & not part of the drop-down buttons at the end of the toolbar >> (click on these arrows to find more buttons). So click "Change Layout" instead of "Finished", a new window will open, and just follow the instructions on the right side of the screen opposite the Button Order box. For instance, as far as the order goes - click on "Groups" to highlight it and then just keep clicking the up arrow until you have your "Groups" button in the place you want it to be on the toolbar - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. Click Finished when you are done. It appears that the answerer above me has a different version of the toolbar. I have version 6.2. Regardless of the version, you would still have a "Change Layout" option in the "Add/Edit Buttons" screen, which would allow you to choose the order of the buttons you have chosen. Just make sure that you click "Finished" when you are done with the layout. Also, as the above answerer mentioned, if the changes you have made do not appear on the toolbar when you have finished, go back to toolbar settings and click on "Refresh Toolbar".

On the left end of the Y! Toolbar, click the 'down-arrow' beside the pencil's "Edit" icon. Move the cursor down to "Personal Options". Then move the cursor to the right, following the 'right-error' to "Add/Edit Buttons...". A dialogue window will open. Under the Communities heading, check the box for "Groups" in the left column. Click the "Finished" button. A message will confirm that the changes have been made. If they don't appear, return to the "Edit" icon, and choose "Refresh Toolbar". Now you can click the "Groups" button, and go down the menu to "My Groups". Click it, and you are there!
