Can you brief me About Yahoo group?

I set up a Group in Yahoo, but I can not find the group when I do a search?

  • unless I go into http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HighBridgeCanineClub_Inc/?yguid=285606631. We had a member who set up a Yahoo group named the HighBridge Canine Club Inc., this person is no longer involved in our Club and deleted the group because she was the moderator. We started a new group and named it HighBridgeCanineClub_Inc. When we go in search group and type the new group name we started it does exist. But when we type in the http address it pops up. We already have 5 members and it has become difficult for people to find this group so they can join. What can you do for us?

    You have to List your Group in "Group Directory", for getting the group in the Yahoo Group Directory. For this Please open the "Management "and click "Group Settings" and edit to include your Group in in "Listing". You have to list the group under proper "category" and click "Save". Your group will appear in the Directory. Still you have doubts please go to yahoo help. Yahoo Groups are user friendly and easy. to operate. All the Best.

I can find your Group in the Yahoo directory today. It takes a few days for new Groups to show up in a search. Having said this it appears that the Groups Search locates only terms that are included in the Group's name and in the Group's Description, but not terms included in the Group's Title. If you want to search on the URL use Google it does a better job than Yahoo - with unpredictable results :-)
