How to unsubscribe from yahoo groups?

  • I keep receiving unwanted emails from a freecycle Yahoo group. I joined this in error, I meant to join Glasgow Scotland, and in haste, joined Glasgow kentucky instead: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GlasgowKY-Freecycle/ I have sent them numerous 'unsubscribe' emails, but they keep coming. I have gone to the groups site above but i see no option to unsubscribe in there. Looking forward to your reply.

    If you wish to leave a Yahoo group as a member: Go to the group's site, click edit membership along the top. In the next window scroll down and check leave group Click save changes and you should be out. It may take a day to take effect. Sending an email usually doesnt work. or, go below:Click edit my groups and follow the prompts. http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups 6 days ago

those who joined a group via e-mail subscribe or were added members can only leave by the unsubscribe e-mail, but leaving a group via the unsubscibe e-mail is faulty, if that's the only way you can leave, you will need the help form http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/groups/original/members/contact/ygbugform.html go to group home page and click edit membership top middle of page- bottom right click Leave Group- next page confirm and click Leave or go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the last column check the small box - click save changes
