How do I make my Yahoo group calendar publicly viewable by non Yahoo users?
-
I've got a Yahoo group that I want to allow the public to view the group's calendar without the public having to have a Yahoo ID. I've set it to Public under the web tools section, but every time I try to access the group's calendar from a different browser where I'm not logged into Yahoo, I keep getting the Yahoo sign-in page. According to the following page, it says that you need to have a Yahoo ID. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20070621001915AAL5pNP However, this other page says that non-yahoo members can view the calendar. Does this only apply to my calendar & not a group cal? http://help.yahoo.com/l/aa/yahoo/calendar/sharing/sharing-02.html Can it be truly publicly viewable without a Yahoo ID? If so how do I set it? I know another yahoo group used to allow it, but now it makes you sign-in again. Thanks in advance for any help.

Answer:
That sec ond link in your question's Details is only about your personal calendar. It does not apply to a Yahoo Groups calendar at all. Because of your question, I tried it on the Group I moderate. On one browser, I did the process to set this Group's calendar to Public. Then I started up another browser I have. Without logging in to Yahoo, I eventually got to this Group's home page. I saw that Calendar was a clickable link. But when I clicked on it, it immediately asked me to log in to Yahoo. Go figure, because this Group's message archive has always been set to Anyone, and a few different times (including right after this calendar test I mentioned) I've been able to click on the Messages link, then even click on the Subject line of a particular message and read that whole message, all while not logged in to Yahoo. If you want to suggest to Yahoo Groups staff that clicking on Calendar in such a Group take one to the calendar itself instead of to the login page, then go to http://suggestions.yahoo.com/?prop=groups .
