Is Yahoo removing adult profiles?

IS the current changes to Yahoo Adult profiles being made as of April 9th, going to effect Yahoo groups?

  • We recv'd email from Yahoo saying our "Adult" profile was being changed and that our photos were being deleted or we could on April 9th add a new G-rated pic. We are wondering if this means all profiles in Yahoo are now going to be general profiles, no longer able to be "adult" over 18 to view, and will this effect the many yahoo adult groups?

You got the email too? A friend of mine did, but I didn't, though I have two profiles though my main name that have 'adult' marked, though the pictures aren't specific, nor is there anything, besides a few links, that could be considered adult. Any idea what's goin' on? If you can, IM me at ' darkpantherian ' and please, any help would be nice.

That is a very good question since many of the adult groups or at least the well maintained groups check profiles. We have a feeling we may soon be seeing the death of the adult groups because just doing general profiles for all will allow kids to start getting in to them, which will end up having parents up in arms at Yahoo. And they wonder why Google is kicking their butts.

This question is further confused by the fact that the actual embedded links are different from the links in the text, indicating a possible scam.
