How to change group settings?

What is "group posting settings" in Yahoo Groups, and how do I change it for when I post?

  • One group I belong to said they have to keep fishing my posts out of the spam folder b'cuz it says I'm using "group posting settings" & they don't even know what that is. They have used a filter to make sure my posts go through, so I'm okay there now. I've been a member there (used to be different site before yahoogroups came into existence) for over 10 years, including before it was moved to YG. However, if there's a setting that I can change, I'd like to do it. Searched but couldn't find ans. Also, recently I got two IM msgs saying they were from Yahoo, & that there were "numerous complaints" that I spammed both groups and chat, bt I never do that! I've been with the same group 10 years, & the only chat I was on recently had some technical problems; the group had to try 4 different chat sites before they found one that worked for most people. So-- Help, please. Apparently I just need to adjust some setting somewhere, but what setting and where is it? THANKS! .

  • Answer:

Only the group owners and/or moderators can modify "group postings settings" Its done in the Management section. I would think this is one of them infamous glitches, and your eMail provider OR your ISP is being directed to the SPAM folder =( The Moderator needs to send a note to Yahoo! Other than that i'm afraid its simply a test of patience.
