How do I close one of my Yahoo groups?

Help! All of my Yahoo Groups except one have disappeared! What is happening?

  • I am a member of about half a dozen Yahoo groups. Suddenly, when I sign in to Yahoo Groups, only ONE of these groups is being displayed. The others are gone! I cannot access them. The same on my 360 page under "my groups". Some of these groups I started myself. They are for the students in the classes I teach at university. So they are very important. what is going on?!

  • Answer:

Maybe some one has hacked you & accessed you ID & the groups you were a member of. Change you password ASAP.

Hmm, I havent noticed any problems... at least not yesterday when I checked. I do know that Yahoo used to send nasty notices that they would delete your group if there wasn't any activity for a year or so. that might have happened. Yahoo also has some stuff about not using them for financial gain and commerical purposes. If you're getting paid to teach those classes, they may have broadened their definitons, and knocked you off. You should try navigating the arcane corners of the help and contact links to discuss this problem with someone from Yahoo itself. Admittedly, their customer service is not as easy to come by as it once was.
