What is with the huge ads right in yahoo group messages text boxes?

I just noticed that there are new, huge ads popping up right in the middle of messages when logged into my yahoo group that change at every click. I don't mean ads at the top, bottom or side bar...these messages also push the message text over to the left of the text box where before the sentences stretched out the full width of the message text box...now the words are relegated to the left and the blinking, moving ads fill half the text box. It is new and me and my group members find it to be rather obnoxious. When did this start and is there an "OPT-OUT" feature? My group members keep talking about moving away from yahoo groups for various and many reasons and here is another annoying feature that yahoo interjected that may persuade them to want to jump ship. Thank you for any info you can provide.
Answer:

There is no opt out for any ads. Ads are from Yahoo's sponsors which in turn makes Yahoo free. All free social sites have such ads, maybe not as in the front as Yahoo's recent 'upgrade'. My guess is yahoo is struggling, and need clicks on the sponsors ads.

It started october 2011.It's a way yahoo tries to generate more income I guess I don't think there's an opt-out, but if you have a decent browser, you can use an adblocker. Another option is to use the group just as email-list
