How can I block the requests to join adults web sites?

  • I receive e-mails asking me to join adults pornographic clubs and or web pages from Yahoo. How can I opt of the e-mails?

  • Answer:

    Click change your email preferences on the last line of the invitation and follow the prompts or: Click the My Email Preferences link on the My Groups page. Under Options, click on the Edit link for each email address you want to prevent from being invited/added to a group. Under Group Invitations, make sure the box is not checked next to Allow group moderators to directly add me to their groups or Allow group moderators to invite me to their groups. Click Save Changes when you’re done.

Good question. I would like to know also. Every night an email drops in my yahoo mail and it seems impossible to block since it is a new Yahoo group each time. Compared to hotmail Yahoo is very good at spam blocking. I get one spam email a day in Yahoo - just that one and about 20 to hotmail.

someone who uses your computer must visit these sites ,thats why you keep getting these kind of mail, like ive been on one before and got some unwanted mail antil i marked them as spam but its stopped now. if you get them alot someone might be a porn addict as they dont just get sent to you .

this is why I have switched to using Gmail. On yahoo you can delete and mark them as span 1,000 times and they keep coming. On Gmail you mark them as span 2-3 times there entire network goes right into the spam folder, no issues.
