How to get the group ID of a contact in android?

Why did yahoo shorten the time period for inactivity cancel for a yahoo id?it really effected my yahoo group.

  • I started a Yahoo Group. With peoples busy lives, not all can visit the site regularly, so Yahoo Id's have expired. Now I have to go contact the people again to create new ID's if they cannot get into the group. Angry because I worked so hard on this.

    I've noticed that Yahoo IDs which do not have an associated @yahoo.com email address tend not to expire. Some of my relatives have IDs they haven't signed into for two years, yet they still get their messages. I believe that the problem is overflowing in-boxes. If your members sign up for a Yahoo ID, and with it an @yahoo.com email address, and then they don't bother to empty the inbox from time to time: zap. Try to encourage people to un-check the box that offers to create an @yahoo.com email address, unless they actually want it and will check it. When they get into setting up their Yahoo ID, tell them that they can enter and verify the alternate email address (not @yahoo.com) they prefer to use, and ignore the link that offers to set up a primary @yahoo.com email address. Then the group messages will go to their preferred email and their Yahoo ID probably won't expire as quickly. If they don't want email from the group, remind them that they can set their membership to "No Mail", or you can set it for them. They are always free to check the group's message archive on the web (assuming you haven't disabled it).
